Help with pairing, reconnecting, and using Pure-Cast.

Pure-Cast currently supports Samsung TVs on the same Wi-Fi as your iPhone. If discovery does not work immediately, the steps below should resolve the most common issues.

Quick setup

  1. Connect your iPhone and TV to the same Wi-Fi network.
  2. Open Pure-Cast and tap Scan on This Wi-Fi.
  3. Allow Local Network access when iPhone asks.
  4. Select your TV and approve the pairing request on the TV.

If the TV does not appear

  • Keep the TV awake during the scan.
  • Confirm your iPhone is using the same Wi-Fi as the TV.
  • Open iPhone Settings and re-enable Local Network access for Pure-Cast if it was denied earlier.
  • Use Enter TV IP Address if automatic discovery misses the TV.

If pairing is denied

  • Watch the TV screen closely for the pairing prompt and approve it.
  • If the TV previously rejected the app, forget the TV in Pure-Cast and reconnect.
  • Remove old remote permissions for Pure-Cast from the TV settings, then pair again.

If text input does not send

  • Open a text field on the TV first, such as a search or sign-in field.
  • Send the text again from Pure-Cast.
  • If the TV rejects the send, disconnect and reconnect once before retrying.
